Andy Malone (Scotland) is the Managing Director of Quality Training Ltd and founder of Dive Deeper Technology Events. Based in Scotland Andy is a motivated technical trainer, Microsoft speaker, and technology evangelist with over 14 years experience in IT training and consultancy. Andy was also the 2006 winner of the TechEd: IT Forum Speaker Idol contest.  Having been a Microsoft Certified Trainer since 1994, Andy brings a wealth of real-world experience to his courses and teaches to a consistently high standard. His knowledge stems from early editions of Windows NT, Exchange, and the Office platforms to Windows Vista,  Windows Server 2008 and beyond. 

Andy’s recent speaker engagements include TechEd, MCT Summit's (EMEA) in Berlin and Zurich, IT Pro Connections in Amsterdam during 2007-8  Andy has delivered content to over 7000 delegates in Madrid, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stavanger, Amsterdam, Brussels and Reykjavik. Marcus J. Carey (USA) M.Sc., CISSP
President, Sun Tzu Data

Security researcher and author Marcus J. Carey is the founder of the Sun Tzu Data. Sun Tzu Data is a Mid-Atlantic based Information Technology firm which specializes in Network Engineering, Network Defense Strategies, and Incident Response.

Prior to starting up Sun Tzu Data, Marcus was employed by Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) Global Security Solutions (GSS) organization. Marcus was assigned to the DC3's Defense Cyber Crime Investigations Training Academy (DCITA) as a Researcher and Instructor. Marcus' specialty at DCITA was Network Intrusions, Log Analysis, and Data Forensics. Marcus served over eight years in the U.S. Navy Cryptologic Security Group. Marcus ended his naval service by being assigned to the National Security Agency (NSA) where he engineered, monitored, and defended Department of Defense's secure networks.

Marcus earned a Master of Science in Network Security from Capitol College in Laurel, Maryland. Marcus was a contributing author to The Official CHFI Study Guide by Elsevier.

Rick Taylor (USA)

SharePoint Author, Guru, Former Microsoft Redmond, USA

 

Rick is a SharePoint architect and has assisted numerous, large companies in their implementations including the US Air Force, Charles Schwab, and Nestle.  He is a published author, co-author, and contributing author including the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 Administrator's Companion by MS Press. His influence within the MCT and SharePoint communities facilitated his being selected to present at the first MCT Community Summit held in Zurich, Switzerland and prompted Microsoft Learning to make changes to the Beta courseware that it might be ready for prime time.

Rick is a formerEngineering Technologist on the SharePoint Platform Architecture team from Microsoft . He is currentlya Principal Consultant with Neudesic.  He is an avid triathlete (Clydesdale class), and active in the Boy Scouts of America.

Christian Schindler MCA, MCT (Austria)

"Christian Schindler is a Microsoft Certified Architect, a MCSE, MCITP and MCT specializing in Active Directory and Messaging. He began his career as a systems administrator managing Microsoft Mail and Novell Netware, which he eventually migrated to Windows NT and Exchange 5.0. Since then he has been working as a consultant on Exchange and Active Directory deployments. Recently he has Co-Authored the "The Real MCTS/MCITP Exam 647 Preparation Kit" Book from Syngress."

Úlfar Erlingsson - (Iceland)

Úlfar Erlingsson is an associate professor at Reykjavik University, where he does research on fundamental, low-level security concerns in distributed software systems. From 2002 to 2008, Dr. Erlingsson was a Researcher at Microsoft Research Silicon Valley, where his work contributed directly to security mechanisms in Windows XP SP2, Server 2003 R2, Vista, and Server 2008.

He was the co-founder and CTO of Green Border Technologies, an innovative Windows security software company that was acquired by Google in 2007, and before this worked as Director of Privacy Protection for deCODE Genetics. Dr. Erlingsson has published numerous papers in leading academic venues and is a frequent invited speaker at top research institutions and universities.

 

Maral Topalian (Lebanon) is a presales consultant of infrastructure solutions atMidware Data Systems. She is a Computer and Communications Engineer who works closely with her technical team on pursuing and implementing the latest technologies and platform solutions to enterprises in the Middle East.

Her passion is to help push IT departments extend their potential from being cost centers to becoming business enablers. Maral works closely with Microsoft on applying the Core Infrastructure Optimization Model to IT departments of enterprises in Lebanon which in turn helps position the five capabilities for each IT department. Maral believes the key is to know where an IT department stands with respect to Identity and Access Management, Desktop Server and Device Management, Security and Networking, and Data Protection and Recovery.

She believes that this helps align the priorities of projects that would enable IT departments to extend their maturity levels from basic, to standardized, to rationalized, until finally achieving the dynamic and optimal IT Infrastructure. Maral was first runner up in Speaker Idol at TechEd IT Forum 2007 in Barcelona. Her communication skills allow her to deliver the deepest and most technical presentations smoothly and passionately to her audience because she believes that her audiences’ potential just like Microsoft is her team’s passion.

 

Desmond Lee (Switzerland) Desmond Lee specializes in end-to-end enterprise infrastructure solutions built around proven business processes and people integration. Desmond brings with him extensive global experiences across industries that include telecommunications, health care, airlines, government, insurance and financialinstitutions.

He is a Microsoft Certified Trainer, technology enthusiast, and founder of the Swiss IT Pro User Group (http://www.swissitpro.ch), an independent, non-profit organization for IT Pros by IT Pros championing Microsoft technologies. Desmond is a speaker at major international events and contributes frequently to popular publications such as mcpmag.com, Exchange and Outlook Pro VIP magazine and Windows IT Pro magazine.
